So, as I mentioned, we were snowed in yesterday. Car went off the road and into the ditch at the end of the driveway. : (
The tow truck driver said that the road was too slippery for his truck and so he didn’t come. (Later the UPS man also called and said he couldn’t make it–we were more sad about that–our christmas presents coming from California–boo hoo).
Anyhow while waiting hopefully for the tow truck, we put on our stylish insulated coveralls, and took shovels out to the end of the driveway to dig out a bit. Naturally, we took the goaties out with us. Little pups played and nibbled bark and watched us curiously. After a while they started to wander off. They were heading up the road and the doode got nervous. Call the goats, he says. So I call them, and they turn around and TEAR down the hill towards me. There was a lot of snow on the road–light powdery stuff, and Roppongi fell. WIPE-OUT! Full tilt slide, on her side, for 20 feet–the powder spraying up all over her. It was incredible. When she slowed down, she popped up and resumed running. It was quite a spectacle.
